The Happenstance Flip
Listen in as badass, Heather Tiedman shares how she "happened to" stumble across a perfect property and found a great contractor who "happened to" call them the day before they got bids. From raccoon babies to underestimating window and plumbing repairs, this episode is full of great nuggets for first-time flippers!
In Heather's words: I started my real estate career back at
the end of 2020 after taking the last few years off work to be a
stay-at-home mom for my oldest two children. Just 3 months into my
new career, we found out that I was pregnant with our third child.
(SURPRISE) As we just settling into the idea of adding another
member of our family, our world took another 180 when my husband
hurt his back and was no longer able to work. Suddenly, I was the
breadwinner on a commission-based job. Little did we know, that was
just the thing we needed to turn our lives into something we never
expected. Over the next few months, my husband gained his real
estate license and became my business partner. (He wrote his first
offer while we were in the hospital having our baby) Just a few
short months after that, we were invited to the first ReUp event.
After that first event, we immediately purchased our first
investment property which is the one I will be talking about today.
In the last 18 months, we have completed transformed our lives into
a family of 5, Top Producing Realtors, Owners of a Cleaning company
(LexiCo Cleaning), and Real Estate Investors. (Yes we are tired and
slightly insane)
